WOW! What a ride. The past 45 days have consisted of being robbed by an x-agent, loosing all of my data, my financial records and over $10,000 in computer equipment. The sheriff called that they had recovered all my data and I could come get it. Imagine over $10 grand in computer equipment getting bumped around in a black duffle bag between the theif's hiding place, the city police department and then the county sheriff's office! Most of it was useless. Wires are missing, screens are broken, brand new laptops are useless because of the shuffle. One computer was loaded with porn! Booted it up and must have downloaded a virus because we couldn't get it back up.
Have to see where we go with insurance from here. Trust me when I say insurance doesn't cover all of you losses - it only adds a bandaid to fix the original problems!
